Worn November 11, 2017 in Stockholm for the 2017 SAP NHL Global Series against Ottawa, this is one of twenty jerseys comprising the white set. This style represents the first season of the Adidas "ADIZERO" jerseys, and this set was worn in addition to the official first set. ***wear TBD*** The NHL Centennial patch, which was added at the beginning of 2017 and carried over to the 2017-2018 season is sewn to the right sleeve, and the 2017 Global Series patch is sewn to the right chest. The jersey is accompanied by the Avalanche COA.

Jonathan Bernier was born August 7, 1988 in Laval, Quebec. The first round, 11th overall draft pick of the Los Angeles Kings in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, Bernier developed between the pipes with the Lewiston Maineiacs.
A reliable goaltender, Bernier spent four seasons competing in the crease with the QMJHL's Lewiston Maineiacs. His most memorable season in Lewiston came in the 2007 QMJHL playoffs when the netminder backstopped his club to a 16-1 record en route to the league championship and a spot in the Memorial Cup tournament. His time in Lewiston came to an end the following season and the Laveal, Quebec native earned his first NHL start, and win, in the Kings' season opener in London, England.
In 2011-12 Berier was part of the Los Angeles Kings club that stormed through the Western Conference playoffs and defeated the New Jersey Devils to capture the first Stanley Cup in franchise history.
On June 23, 2013, Bernier was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs for forward Matt Frattin, goalie Ben Scrivens, and a conditional second-round draft pick.
In three seasons with the Maple Leafs Bernier would post goals-against-averages of 2.68, 2.87 and 2.88. On July 8, 2016, his time in the Maple Leafs organization would come to an end. Bernier was traded to the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for future considerations.
Bernier would spend a single season in Anaheim, seeing action in 39 regular season games and posting a career-best 2.50 goals-against-average. He also saw action in four post-season games, collecting his first playoff win in the process.
As an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2017, Bernier signed a deal with the Colorado Avalanche.

Traded to Toronto by Los Angeles for Ben Scrivens, Matt Frattin and Toronto's 2nd round pick (later traded to Columbus, later traded back to Toronto - Toronto selected Travis Dermott) in 2015 NHL Draft, June 23, 2013. Traded to Anaheim by Toronto for future considerations (conditions not met), July 8, 2016. Signed as a free agent by Colorado, July 1, 2017.
