TJ galiardi

T.J. Galiardi was born April 22, 1988, in Calgary, Alberta and was a second round draft pick of the Colorado Avalanche in 2007.

In 2006-07, while playing collegiate hockey for the Big Green of Dartmouth College, Galiardi would notch 31 points in 33 games, but would return to Calgary to play for the Hitmen of the WHL. In Calgary he would lead all playoff scorers, recording 24 points in just 16 games.

In March of 2009, Galiardi would make his NHL debut and on March 27 he would score the first goal of his career in a losing effort against the Vancouver Canucks.

After a 15 goal rookie campaign, Galiardi struggled to recapture his scoring touch. He spent time during his sophomore season in the AHL and only managed seven goals in 35 NHL games.

The 2011-12 season was a similar story for T.J. He scored just eight goals for the Avalanche and found himself on the move at the NHL trade deadline. Along with Daniel Winnik he was shipped to the San Jose Sharks in exchange for a package of players.
