8 Wojtek Wolski
2008-2009 Thirteenth Season
Reebok Edge. Set 3. Neck tagging 56.
NHL-MGG No. F03936
This is a set 3 jersey and is marked in the neck accordingly (III). The jersey has some good marks on it, although the overall use is not particularly heavy. There are some larger brush marks on the lower front body and some more distinct black marks next to the rear "8". The right sleeve has a large repair in the loswer forearm area and can be seen in a couple of photos (not yet posted). There are also several other random marks throughout the shirt.
The MeiGray tag is sewn in the rear hem, and the jersey is accompanied by the MGG LOA. This season's serial numbers begin with a "F" to designate MeiGray's sixth year as the marketing group for Colorado's game jerseys.

Wojtek Wolski was born February 24, 1986 in Zabrze, Poland. The first round, 21st overall selection of the Colorado Avalanche in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, Wolski is a graduate of the OHL's Brampton Battalion.
An offensively gifted forward, Wolski spent four seasons in Brampton registering 328 points (130-198-328) while making his NHL debut with Colorado during the 2005-06 season. Despite some early success with the Avs, the club opted to return the young forward to his junior club, where he would dominate the league and earn OHL MVP honours.
Following an impressive 2005-06 season in Brampton, the Avs recalled Wolski once his Battalion were eliminated from the OHL playoffs. Wolski became a regular on the Avalanche line-up in 2006-07 and during that season he ranked fourth in the league rookie scoring race with 50 points in 76 games. The following year he tallied 48 points and helped Colorado back into the NHL playoffs.
On March 3, 2010, the NHL trade deadline, Wolski's time in Colorado would come to an end. He was traded to the Phoenix Coyotes in exchange for Peter Mueller and Kevin Porter.
Though things started out strongly in Phoenix for the big winger (he recorder 18 points in 18 games to conclude the 2009-10 season) his time in the desert would be short-lived. On January 10, 2011, Wolski found himself on the move again, this time traded to the New York Rangers in exchange for defenseman Michal Rozsival.
New York would prove to be another short-lived home for Wolski. In 2011-12 he would fail to record a goal for the Rangers and would spend time in the American Hockey League with the Connecticut Whale before being traded to the Florida Panthers on February 25, 2012 in exchange for Mike Vernace.
